Looking for a nanny job this summer?
Students looking for summer jobs have a lot of things to consider: How much can I make over three months? Will the experience help me down the road with a long term career?
Working for a family to help take care of their child can be a rewarding experience. For starters, summer can be a difficult time for families. When school is out, parents have to worry about someone watching over their little ones so the parents can continue to work. You can make a difference in a child’s life by watching them during the week. Parents appreciate the care an individual attention a nanny can bring, particularly when they can bring helpful skills to the table. Can you teach their child how to swim? How about arts and crafts? Some parents would appreciate it if you can help their child with math workbooks or reading.
Seattle is a special place to spend the summer. Maybe your nanny family would like you to take their kids to the Woodland Park Zoo. Or maybe you can take them to Lincoln Park’s famous saltwater swimming pool on the shores of puget sound. The weather here is as good as anywhere on the planet. And with your time off, you can check out the Capitol Hill Block Party, go camping or catch a Mariner’s game. The stuff to do on your time off is endless.
